Is anti-DDoS included on every offer?
Yes. Inbound traffic runs through a Gcore anti-DDoS filtering layer that absorbs volumetric attacks before they reach our racks. This protection is included, with no paid option.
What is a volumetric DDoS attack?
It's an attack designed to saturate a server's bandwidth or resources by sending a very large volume of traffic from many sources, with the aim of making it unreachable.
Does the protection slow down my service?
No. Legitimate traffic isn't affected: filtering specifically targets attack signatures, with a false-positive rate below 0.01%.
What happens during an attack?
Failover to the Gcore filtering network is automatic and happens in under a minute after detection. There's nothing for you to configure or activate manually.
